Design Engineer Location: Widnes Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 per annumOur client specializes in the design and delivery of bespoke engineering solutions across multiple sectors, including automotive, aerospace, and logistics.Key Responsibilities:Take full responsibility for your own designs throughout the project lifecycle.Collaborate with external parties and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.Attend internal and external design reviews, ensuring all requirements are met.Work closely with sales, production, and operations teams to ensure cost-effective, manufacturable designs.Track and manage your own design hours and respond to design change requests.Maintain system organization, adhering to Vault, folder structures, and internal systems.Key Areas of Responsibility:Create 3D models and generate detailed designs (assemblies and components).Conduct calculations, FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), risk assessments, and create manuals.Qualifications and Education Requirements:Minimum of 5 years'' experience in a hands-on and design-focused engineering role.Degree educated (minimum).Essential Skills:Strong mechanical design skills, with a good understanding of electrical switches and motors.Preferred Skills:Experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.If you are interested and keen to find out more, please apply now with your updated CV and reach out to Tom Johnson - Ref: ..... full job details .....
