GSL Education are excited to be recruiting a Design and Technology Teacher to join a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Hull starting this September or October. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who thrives on innovation and enjoys bringing practical learning to life.
About the Role
As a Design and Technology (DT) Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across a range of DT disciplines, including product design, resistant materials, and graphics. You’ll be instrumental in fostering creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills in students, preparing them for future careers and further education.
Responsibilities of Design and Technology (DT) Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire students through hands-on projects and creative challenges.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop/classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and enrichment activities.
- Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive school culture.
Requirements for Design and Technology (DT) Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism or strong experience in Design and Technology.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for practical learning and student development.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
