Deputy Operations Manager

Astute People are currently recruiting a Deputy Operations Manager to join the operations department of an Energy from Waste plant in North Lincolnshire.This plant can produce up to 13MW of Power by processing up to 190,000 tonnes of waste per year, usually destined for landfill. The Deputy Operations Manager will support with the day to day running of the Operations Team, ensuring safe and efficient operation of the plant.If you have the right qualifications and experience, please apply. Responsibilities and duties: As the Deputy Operations Manager you will be responsible for:Supporting the Operations Manager in the safe, compliant and efficient running of the Energy from Waste Power Station.Providing Senior Authorised Persons duties up to 33kV and assistance for LV apparatus and mechanical plant.Leading the Day Operations department.Providing leadership during outages and supporting HVSP and SAP activitiesSupervising and directing contractors.Leading continuous improvement initiatives across safety, training, housekeeping and operational performance.Ensuring compliance with site safety rules, policies, procedures and Environmental Permit conditions. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:Ideally apprenticeship trained at Level 3 in a relevant Engineering fieldQualified with a HNC, ONC or HND in a relevant Engineering field.Certified IOSH or NEBOSH holder.Certified Senior Authorised Person up to 33kV (or higher) Personal skills The Deputy ..... full job details .....
