Deputy Nursery Manager

OverviewDeputy Nursery Manager. Full time position. Immediate start. Up to £13.35 per hour (negotiable depending on experience). Salford area. Permanent role in a brand-new setting.

Premier Education is delighted to be working with a wonderful nursery in the Salford area, set within a beautiful Grade II Listed building. They are currently looking to appoint a Deputy Nursery Manager to support the leadership team in running this exciting new site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong early years leadership experience who is ready to take the next step in their career. You\''ll play a key role in supporting the Nursery Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery, staff supervision, and ensuring the highest standards of care and education for children aged 0-5 years.

Responsibilities

Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily running of the setting.

Support, mentor and inspire staff across all rooms.

Help with rota management, staff deployment, and ensuring ratios are always maintained.

Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external agencies.

Ensure the nursery remains fully compliant with safeguarding, Ofsted and EYFS requirements.

Lead by example in delivering high-quality childcare and early education.

Step up in the absence of the Nursery Manager.

Qualifications and qualities

Has previous experience in a leadership or management role within Early Years.

Holds a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 or above, ideally Level 5/degree).

Can juggle lots of tasks and priorities with ease.

Has a warm, approachable and professional manner.

Can inspire and motivate staff, while creating a nurturing environment for children.

Can enthusiastically eat and drink pretend food and drinks (still essential!).

Is ready to bring fun, energy and creativity into the workplace.
