Deputy Nursery Manager

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join a thriving early years setting in the Oxford area.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated childcare professional with strong leadership skills who is committed to delivering high-quality care and education. You will support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the setting, help lead and develop the nursery team, and ensure children receive the best possible start in life.

• Location: Oxford area
• Salary: Around -34,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience
• Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
• Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Nursery Manager with the effective day-to-day running of the nursery.
• Lead, motivate and support staff to deliver high standards of care and education.
• Ensure the provision meets EYFS requirements, safeguarding standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate learning activities.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children.
• Support staff development, performance and continuous improvement.

About You:

• Previous experience in an early years setting, ideally in a senior or leadership role.
• A relevant early years childcare qualification.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• A genuine passion for children''s learning, development and wellbeing.
• The ability to work collaboratively and help maintain high standards across the setting.
