Banana Moon Day Nurseries is committed to providing high-quality early years education and care. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Nursery Manager in leading our dedicated staff and ensuring that our children receive the best possible experience in a safe and nurturing environment.

As the Deputy Nursery Manager, your responsibilities will include assisting with day-to-day operations, implementing educational programs, and maintaining high standards of care and safety. You will also help to foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff, and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Nursery Manager with the overall management of the nurseryEnsure the nursery meets all regulatory requirements and follows health and safety guidelinesSupervise and support nursery staff, providing guidance and training where necessaryPlan and organize age-appropriate activities that promote learning and developmentMaintain strong relationships with parents and caregivers, addressing any concerns they may haveWork collaboratively with the team to enhance nursery practices and standards40 hours per week, 7.30am -6.30pm with a set day off per week.

Requirements

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalentAt least 2 years of experience in a similar role within an early years settingThorough understanding of the EYFS framework and statutory requirementsExperience in leading and managing a team effectivelyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCurrent DBS clearance and safeguarding training
