Overview

Deputy Nurse Team Manager sought for the inpatient ward at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. The ward is 22 beds, providing high quality care for male and female patients with various cancers. Responsibilities include leadership of the oncology ward, safe, high quality patient care, and regular staff support on shifts. You will support the Ward Sister/Deputy Sisters with audits, staff development, and developing leadership skills within the Trust.Responsibilities

Coordinate nursing shifts on a regular basis, ensuring adequate staffing and skill mix.Promote patient safety through regular safety huddles and high standards of care.Administer medicines as prescribed in accordance with the Trust Medicines Management Policy and NMC guidelines.undertake clinical tasks as trained and competent (e.g., catheterisation, NG tube insertion).Identify educational needs within the ward and contribute to teaching for the clinical team and allied healthcare professionals.Lead by example as a senior nurse, with excellent communication and collaboration with the MDT.Qualifications/Experience

Experience as a senior nurse with leadership and coordination responsibilities on an oncology/ward setting preferred.Ability to lead, communicate effectively, and promote collaboration with the MDT.Training in relevant clinical skills and medicines management; competency to undertake required procedures.Benefits and terms
