Deputy Manager – Therapeutic Children’s Home

About the Role:

• Assist the Registered Manager in the smooth running of a high-quality children’s home
• Lead and support staff across shifts, including completing risk assessments and debriefs
• Monitor compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Quality Standards
• Help recruit, develop, and retain a strong, motivated care team
• Liaise with schools, health, and local authority professionals to coordinate care
• Ensure all documentation and young people’s plans are up to date and meaningful
• Support rota planning and ensure consistent safeguarding coverage

About You:

• At least 1 year’s experience in residential childcare, ideally with some team leadership
• Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Confident managing shift teams and providing reflective supervision
• Creative, resilient, and comfortable managing challenging behaviour
• Emotionally intelligent and able to support both young people and staff
• Driving licence preferred
