OverviewAs the Deputy Manager, you are part of the management team alongside the Home Manager and the Assistant Deputy Manager. The role includes providing care and supervision in the home, with assigned supernumerary time to complete management tasks. You will be hands-on with care while ensuring the shift is well led and supporting both day and night handovers. You should care for residents as you would for your own family, attending to Physical, Psychological, and Social needs.

Responsibilities
Provide hands-on care and supervision for residents, supporting day and night shifts and handovers.
Assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and meals.
Support the management function, including supervisions, observations, rota planning, and medication audits.
Contribute to end-of-month medication reviews and overall monthly processes.
Attend staff meetings and contribute to a positive, well-led shift environment.
Maintain safeguarding responsibilities and ensure adherence to safeguarding and whistleblowing policies.
Keep training records up to date and participate in appropriate training; encourage staff development.
On-call availability within the management team as required.
About You / Qualifications
Good communication skills with residents, families, and management.
Previous experience in a Care Home is desirable but not essential.
A committed and organized approach.
Flexibility to work shifts (including weekends).
NVQ Level 3 as a minimum (or working towards).
Availability to work on-call within the management team.
Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs of the home and participate in appropriate training. Encourage and support staff development and training.
