Role overview:

Make your part of GO a great place to shop and work through effective leadership and management of your store or defined business area. Motivate and coach store teams to deliver service with customers at the heart, through exceptional store standards and highly engaged colleagues.

Responsibilities:

Support the Store Manager in leading and motivating a high-performing, engaged team.Create a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring store teams win customers for life by exceeding expectations.Develop store teams through internal development programmes to support future talent and career pathways.Maintain a safe and compliant operating environment for all colleagues and customers.Deliver financial results aligned with or exceeding company targets.Support other retail management duties as required.Act as the point of contact for colleagues in the manager’s absence.Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints professionally.Manage day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.Support cash management tasks, such as processing transactions and reconciling tills.Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.Provide feedback and coaching to colleagues to improve performance.Assist in maintaining colleague schedules for proper coverage and productivity.Role objectives and KPIs:

Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store''s monthly sales target.Drive all additional KPIs including units, conversion, ATV, UPT.Achieve upselling and cross-selling targets.Maintain high customer metric scores.Ensure stock accuracy during store audits.Ensure all new colleagues complete mandatory training.Ensure employee satisfaction and engagement survey results meet or exceed benchmarks.Help keep operational costs within the budget.Skills and Experience:

Strong coaching, mentoring, and team-building skills that drive performance.Confident, motivating communicator with excellent verbal, listening, and written skills.At least 2 years of management experience, preferably in retail.Ability to prioritize and delegate workload effectively.Proven success in promoting and growing a brand or service locally.Passion for customer service and delivering excellence.Ability to improve store performance and standards through planning.Robust knowledge of retail KPIs, cost control, sales growth, and customer experience improvement.Understanding of local market trends and competitor activity.Leadership with a plan/do/review approach.Decisive and clear decision-maker.Inspiring and engaging communicator.Resilient, positive, and responsible attitude.Aligned with our values and passionate about team development.Open to honest feedback and building strong relationships.Benefits:
