About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious, highly organised and technically skilled Data Manager to lead and develop data systems across our thriving secondary school.
This is a pivotal role within the school, responsible for managing all aspects of data collection, reporting and analysis, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and supports effective decision-making at every level. You will also take ownership of the school''s timetable, creating and maintaining a robust and efficient timetable.

Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Analysis
- Lead the school''s data function and oversee the effective management of student and school performance data.
- Maintain the integrity, accuracy and security of all data systems.
- Develop and maintain reporting systems that enable staff to monitor student outcomes effectively.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and all relevant data protection requirements.
Timetabling
- Lead the creation, implementation and maintenance of the whole-school timetable.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining curriculum delivery and student experience.
Stakeholder Support
- Work collaboratively with staff across all departments.
- Present data in a clear and accessible manner for a range of audiences.
- Build positive relationships with external agencies and service providers.
- Contribute to strategic planning through high-quality data analysis and reporting.
- Provide training, guidance and ongoing support to colleagues.
Specification
Essential
- Experience working with school data and management information systems.
- Experience producing reports and interpreting performance data.
- Advanced ICT skills, including Excel and database systems.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable
- Experience creating or managing a secondary school timetable.
- Experience using systems such as Arbor, SIMS, Bromcom or similar MIS platforms.
- Experience managing or developing data processes within an educational setting.
