Data Centre Site Engineer
III (Electrical/Mechanical) – TieTalentThe Site Engineer III is responsible for the planning and control of all day-to-day maintenance activities in cooperation with the Lead Engineer, and provides leadership to site teams, including project management for maintenance related activities. This role is critical to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and deliver client satisfaction, and when applicable, may involve a 7x24 shift rotation.What you''ll do
Lead in upholding company safety policies, operational efficiency, and core values.Plan and execute equipment or system switching procedures, overseeing the process to guarantee smooth transitions and minimize downtime in data center operations.Ensure strict compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.Oversee maintenance and repair activities, including coordination with subcontractors.Manage on-call duties and incident resolution as needed.Document and analyze progress, issues, and outcomes, driving continuous improvement initiatives.Provide comprehensive supervision, training, mentoring, and guidance to site engineers, fostering professional development and contributing to team development and recruitment efforts.Demonstrate mastery across a wide range of essential technical skills, including complex troubleshooting and project management.Possess in-depth expertise in the specialized technical field relevant to the position.What you''ll need
Proven experience in mission critical operations and maintenance of large-scale electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems.Technical education or training certification in the field of Mission Critical Operations.Education to a vocational level in a technical field and/or site engineering position.Skilled in maintenance of electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems.Preferably skilled in the maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems.Experience with maintenance of conveyors/elevators and/or technical security systems (CCTV, Access Control).HVAC mechanical and/or electrical knowledge.Proficient in utilizing various test equipment.Excellent problem analysis skills and a proactive, customer- and business-focused approach.Attention to detail with a hands-on mentality and strong communication skills.Demonstrated leadership abilities in line with company expectations.About us
