Cyclical Maintenance Manager

3 days per week in the office (ideally)Our client, a leading provider in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Cyclical Maintenance Manager for a contract position to lead a team responsible for all routine and cyclical highway maintenance activities across the county.Key Responsibilities:Leading a team in the planning, management, and implementation of cyclical maintenance programmesExtending the life of highway infrastructure through preventive fault measuresMaintaining highway safety standards and achieving value for public moneyOverseeing programmes such as carriageway and footway surface dressing, white lining renewals, verge and tree maintenance, gully cleansing, and drain jettingBalancing local aspirations, County Council priorities, and policy positions in planning worksProviding strategic guidance and ensuring alignment with the County''s CARE valuesMonitoring team performance against KPIs and ensuring targets are metCollaborating with other managers in the highway maintenance service area to ensure consistent strategies are adoptedManaging a large maintenance budget, both revenue and capital, and ensuring financial prudenceJob Requirements:Experience in highway maintenance and cyclical maintenance managementStrong knowledge of planning and implementing cyclical maintenance programmesUnderstanding of budget management and financial mitigation for over-spendExcellent leadership and team development skillsAbility to provide strategic guidance and ensure ..... full job details .....
