Are you an experienced Highway Maintenance Manager looking for your next challenge?
 
Our client is an ambitious authority who are seeking an experienced Highway Maintenance Manager with experience in all aspects of highway maintenance. This role is on a contract basis, initially for 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:
 
·To lead a team responsible for all routine and cyclical highway maintenance activities
·Lead officers responsible for planning varied programmes of works at the appropriate frequencies across circa 3,000km of highway.
·Responsible for managing a large maintenance budget, both revenue and capital
 
What is required?
 
·Thorough knowledge of highway design, project management techniques,
construction, maintenance and drainage. This knowledge needs to be informed by
industry best practice, national standards and design guides e.g. the Design Manual for
Road and Bridges / the Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works.
