Customs Clearance Clerk

We are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established business in Felixstowe who are looking for an experienced Customs Clearance Clerk to join their team. The successful candidates will be responsible for liaising with Customers, Customs Authorities and handling Import Customs Clearances from start to finish to support the successful forwarding of the goods.Key Duties and Responsibilities Include:Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all Import declarationsCompleting import customs declarations and in accordance with customer instructionsPrioritising clearances based on arrival date Providing Customer support by providing guidance on Customs related mattersEnsuring customs compliance is maintained at all timesDelivering high levels of customer service at all times whilst having a good understanding of commercial awareness. Skills and Experience Required:Minimum 1-2 years'' experience in UK Import Customs ClearancesUnderstanding of CDS procedures and customs complianceUnderstanding of incoterms in a customs clearance environmentKnowledge of UK Online Customs Tariff and other HMRC websites and toolsStrong knowledge of CNS, Destin8 and various HMRC portals.Role Details:Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30Occasional weekend and bank holiday coverage required (turn based, no more than 3 hours over a weekend per month, and around 1 bank holiday a year)Overtime paid at 1.5-hour ..... full job details .....
