Customer Service Specialist– Part Time Bolton

| Up to £24,000 | 30 Hours Per Week | Monday–Friday, 12:00–18:30

I’m currently recruiting on behalf of my client, a growing freight forwarding company based in Bolton, who are looking for a Customer Service Specialist to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous customer service experience, ideally gained within transport, logistics, freight forwarding or a similar fast-paced environment.

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for looking after customers and supporting the wider team across the day-to-day road freight operation.

Your role will include:

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers
• Dealing with customer enquiries via phone and email
• Providing regular updates and resolving any customer queries
• Ensuring customers receive a high level of service
• Assisting customers with their transport and freight requirements
• Preparing and completing relevant freight documentation
• Liaising with the internal team to ensure shipments are handled smoothly
• Keeping customers informed throughout the process
• Supporting the wider team when required
• Ensuring information and documentation is accurate
• Developing your knowledge of the road freight and freight forwarding industry

About You We’re looking for someone who is customer-focused, confident and organised, with previous experience in a customer service environment.
You’ll ideally have:

• Previous customer service experience
• Excellent communication skills
• A professional and friendly telephone manner
• Strong written communication skills
• Good attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple customer queries
• Good IT skills
• A proactive and positive approach
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• A willingness to learn and develop

Experience within transport, logistics or freight forwarding would be a bonus, but is not essential.
