Customer Service Executive - Shipping & Logistics

Our client, a leading Freight Forwarding company based in Felixstowe, is currently seeking to appoint a Customer Service Executive to join their successful team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Customer Service driven, and commercially aware individual who is looking to develop their career within the shipping & logistics industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with customers and clients regarding bookings, and for ensuring that the details of such are captured accurately and in a timely fashion.-

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent customer service to clients throughout the shipping process.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and key operational teams.
• Support sales and commercial activities where required.
• Process operational and commercial documentation accurately.
• Follow credit control procedures and company guidelines.
• Assist with file accruals and provisioning processes.
• Resolve customer queries and operational issues efficiently.
• Work in line with company policies, procedures and standards.

This position would ideally suit candidates who have shipping, logistics or Freight industry experience, however Customer Service driven candidates, and recent Graduates who have a keen interest in working within the industry will also be considered. The successful candidate will be well educated and will have experience of working with Word and Excel.
