Customer Service Advisor

Our client based in Blantyre are looking for a customer service advisor to work within their team.

The role of the customer service advisor is to proactively contact customers ahead of scheduled deliveries, ensuring delivery information is accurate, bookings are confirmed, customer data is maintained, and any delivery issues are identified before dispatch. The role is critical in improving customer service, delivery success rates, and operational efficiency.

• Position is working Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm
• 40hrs Paid Per Week
• Temporary to permanent
• Paid at -12.71 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Contact customers before scheduled deliveries to confirm requirements and availability.
• Verify delivery dates, access restrictions, site opening hours, and delivery instructions.
• Resolve any queries relating to upcoming deliveries.
• Build positive relationships with customers through professional and friendly communication.

Key Skills & Attributes

• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to build rapport with customers.
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Confident handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a customer service, telesales, pre-calling, scheduling, logistics, transport, or administrative role.
• Experience working within a distribution, transport, delivery, utilities, or service environment.
