Curry & Grill Chef

Curry & Grill is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. Experience in Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, or South Asian cuisine is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Curry & Grill recipes and standards.
• Specialize in curries, grilled dishes, tandoori items, and traditional South Asian cuisine.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control are consistently maintained.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Supervise and support kitchen assistants and junior staff when required.
• Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
• Develop new dishes and contribute ideas for menu improvements.
• Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained properly.
• Work effectively during busy service periods and maintain a positive team environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant environment.
• Knowledge of Indian and grill cuisine preferred.
• Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Desirable Qualifications

• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above).
• Culinary training or professional cooking qualification.
• Experience with menu planning and stock control.
