Curry and Grill Chef
Curry and Grill is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. Experience in Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, or South Asian cuisine is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to Curry and Grill recipes and standards. Specialize in curries, grilled dishes, tandoori items, and traditional South Asian cuisine. Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control are consistently maintained. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations. Supervise and support kitchen assistants and junior staff when required. Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients. Develop new dishes and contribute ideas for menu improvements. Ensure all equipment is used safely and maintained properly. Work effectively during busy service periods and maintain a positive team environment. Requirements Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant environment. Knowledge of Indian and grill cuisine preferred. Understanding of food hygiene and health and safety regulations. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
