CSA Construction Manager - Europe

Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading international engineering and construction contractor delivering major data centre and mission-critical projects across Europe.

Our client builds and manages complex engineering and construction projects for some of the world''s leading corporations, delivering across sectors including Enterprise and Hyperscale Data Centres, Advanced Technology & Life Sciences, and Fire Protection.

They''re now seeking a CSA Construction Manager to manage day-to-day site operations for the CSA packages on a live data centre project in Vienna, working closely with the Project Operations Manager, EHS Lead and CSA Package Manager.

CSA Construction Manager Responsibilities

• Manage site safety alongside the Project Manager and EHS Lead, including set-up, management and close-out of the safety file.
• Manage site QA alongside the CSA Package Manager, including set-up, management and close-out of the QA file.
• Maintain familiarity with and manage the project schedule in coordination with other trades and package leads.
• Manage all day-to-day on-site operations for the CSA packages.
• Support management of all costs associated with the package, including the CSA team, subcontractors, material deliveries/goods receipting, plant and equipment, and variations.
• Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels, and run a weekly minuted meeting with each subcontractor.
• Manage the client''s snagging system, ensuring weekly punch lists are returned and distributed to all subcontractors, and support close-out of O&M manuals, punch lists and the safety/QA files.
• Implement a weekly look-ahead, coordinate with other trades, and issue internal weekly progress reports (based on WBS codes) flagging risks such as late deliveries.
• Schedule and track material deliveries against the project schedule, and maintain a weekly project photographic diary.

CSA Construction Manager Requirements:

• Minimum 6-8 years'' experience in site management and installation, including prior supervisory experience.
• Professional qualification and certification in construction management.
• Strong technical knowledge of CSA systems.
• Willingness to travel as required for the role.
• Strong subcontractor collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well on your own initiative and to strict deadlines.
• Desirable: experience driving large-scale projects and excellent communication skills.
