Mechanical Construction Manager - Norwich - Permanent or Freelance Location: Norwich, Norfolk Employment Type: Permanent or Freelance Project Duration: Through to late 2028 The Opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join a Tier 1 MandE contractor on a major educational development in Norwich. The project involves a substantial £34 million MandE package and is scheduled to run through to late 2028, offering long-term stability and the opportunity to work on a significant construction scheme. The contractor''s preference is to recruit on a permanent basis, with a salary of up to £75,000 per annum depending on experience. However, experienced freelance candidates will also be considered, with day rates negotiable. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee all mechanical building services installations throughout the construction programme. Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, site teams and specialist suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. Work closely with the wider project team, including electrical managers, construction managers, consultants and the main contractor. Monitor site progress, identify potential issues and implement solutions to maintain project deadlines. Ensure all mechanical installations comply with design specifications, relevant regulations and project requirements.
