Cover Supervisor

Secondary schools across Bath & North East Somerset are looking for adaptable and reliable Cover Supervisors who can confidently step into the classroom and provide effective general cover. The schools offer supportive environments where maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement and learning is a key priority.

The Cover Supervisor role is available on a flexible supply basis, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. The successful Cover Supervisor will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects to students aged 11-16, manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and adapt their approach to different classes while ensuring students remain focused and productive.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational, coaching, mentoring or youth work setting
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to adapt quickly to different classes, subjects and school environments
• A calm, reliable and proactive approach
