Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Start Date: September 2026
Salary: £100 - £120 per day

Would you like to work within welcoming mainstream secondary schools and gain valuable classroom experience?

TeacherActive is delighted to be working with secondary schools across Ebbw Vale and the surrounding area. We are looking for reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to support schools with their classroom cover requirements from September.

The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise classes across KS3 and KS4, delivering pre-prepared work in the absence of the usual classroom teacher. You will be expected to maintain high standards of behaviour, encourage pupil participation and create a positive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils or young people
• Strong behaviour management skills
• The confidence to supervise classes independently
• Good communication and relationship-building skills
• A reliable and adaptable approach
• A genuine desire to make a positive contribution to pupils’ education
