Job Overview
A secondary school in Southampton is looking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team after April. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity running until the end of the academic year in July 2025, perfect for those looking to gain hands-on experience in the classroom or take the first step into a teaching career.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring students remain focused and engaged in the absence of their regular teacher.

Key Responsibilities


  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups.
  • Maintain a calm and productive classroom environment.
  • Motivate and support students to stay on task and complete their work.
  • Follow the school''s behaviour and safeguarding policies.
  • Communicate with teaching staff and senior leadership to report on class progress.
  • Be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of different classes.

Requirements
