JOB DESCRIPTION - Cover Supervisor

• Supervising classes during teacher absences.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining an engaging learning environment.
• Supporting students to stay focused and complete classwork.
• Building confidence in managing groups of young people.
• Gaining invaluable school-based experience before progressing into teacher training

PERSON SPECIFICATION – Cover Supervisor

• Must have a 1st class or 2:1 degree from a reputable University
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Confidence working with young people.
• A positive, proactive and professional attitude.
• Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential.
