We re seeking a committed teaching assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Burton on a permanent basis. Position: Teaching Assistant Location: Burton-on-trent Pay: £100 per dayAbout the Role: As a teaching assistant you ll be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects to secondary students. You ll ensure classes run smoothly in the absence of the regular teacher, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.Responsibilities: Support individual students particularly pupils with SEND, learning difficulties, or additional needs.Work with small groups help students with reading, writing, maths, revision or specific subjects.Support the teacher in lessons circulate around the classroom, explain tasks, check understanding and encourage students.Help with behaviour reinforce school expectations, keep students focused and help de-escalate situations when appropriate.Provide 1:1 support work closely with a particular student who may have an EHCP or require additional assistance.
