Are you an ambitious corporate fundraiser with a talent for building meaningful relationships and winning new business
At Meningitis Now, we're looking for a passionate and proactive Corporate Fundraising Manager to help drive sustainable income growth through high-value corporate partnerships. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in securing the support that enables us to deliver life-changing services, fund vital research, raise awareness of meningitis, and be there for people and families when they need us most.
We are looking for someone to work between 28 to 35 hours per week for a minimum of 2 days per week from our office in Stroud. The role will require some planned travel to face-to-face meetings with existing and prospective corporate partners.
About the job
Corporate partnerships play a pivotal role in helping Meningitis Now work towards a future where no one in the UK loses their life to meningitis or is left to face its impact alone. Income generated through these partnerships helps fund practical and emotional support for people affected by meningitis, awareness campaigns that improve understanding of the disease, and research that contributes to better prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
As Corporate Fundraising Manager, you'll lead the development and delivery of our corporate fundraising strategy, with a strong focus on identifying, securing and growing new corporate partnerships. You'll work with businesses of all sizes, creating compelling opportunities for organisations to support our mission while delivering meaningful engagement and impact for their employees, customers and stakeholders.
Alongside driving new business, you'll manage a portfolio of key partnerships and lead our Corporate Fundraising team to ensure every supporter receives an exceptional experience, helping build long-term relationships that maximise impact for years to come. Ultimately, you will play a critical role in growing sustainable income that enables Meningitis Now to continue changing lives today while working towards a future free from the impact of meningitis.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on fundraising, relationship building and business development in a role where their work makes a genuine and lasting difference.
Reporting to the Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for delivering and growing income from corporate partnerships, helping Meningitis Now achieve its fundraising ambitions and strategic objectives.
You'll lead on the acquisition of new corporate supporters, developing a strong pipeline of opportunities through research, networking, referrals and proactive prospecting. Using your excellent communication and influencing skills, you'll create compelling proposals, deliver engaging presentations and secure partnerships that align with both a company's objectives and Meningitis Now's mission.
You'll work closely with colleagues across fundraising, communications, support services and senior leadership to develop innovative partnership opportunities, showcase the impact of corporate support and strengthen our presence within the business community.
The role also includes line management of the Senior Corporate Fundraiser, supporting their development and ensuring the effective stewardship of our valued existing corporate supporters.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Developing and delivering a corporate fundraising strategy focused on long-term income growth.
- Securing new corporate partnerships through prospecting, networking, pitches and proposals.
- Building and managing a strong pipeline of future opportunities.
- Using business communications channels, such as LinkedIn for research, promotion and outreach
- Managing and growing relationships with key corporate supporters.
- Leading cultivation, engagement and stewardship activities and events.
- Working with senior leaders and Business Ambassadors to expand corporate opportunities.
- Supporting innovation across our corporate fundraising products and programmes.
- Providing leadership, coaching and support to the Corporate Fundraising team.
What we're looking for
You'll bring:
- Significant experience in corporate fundraising, partnerships, business development or a related role.
- A successful track record of securing new corporate partnerships and delivering income growth.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experience of developing and delivering fundraising or partnership strategies.
- The ability to create compelling proposals, presentations and funding applications.
- Experience of prospect research, pipeline management and business development.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience of line management, coaching or developing colleagues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Empathy, sensitivity and emotional intelligence, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with supporters, many of whom have been personally affected by meningitis.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to achieving goals.
