Contracts Manager - RoofingOur client is a leading commercial roofing refurbishment specialist, delivering high-quality, tailored solutions across the UK.They are now seeking a Contracts Manager to join their growing team. You will be responsible for overseeing roofing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a mix of office-based planning and administration alongside regular site visits.What’s in it for you?

Manage multiple commercial roofing projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery to budget, timeline, and quality standardsLead pre-contract activities including tender preparation, cost estimation, and client communicationCoordinate and oversee all stages of roofing refurbishmentLiaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and smooth project progressionConduct regular site visits to monitor progress, compliance with health and safety standards, and workmanship qualityPrepare and review contracts, change orders, and variations, ensuring all documentation is accurate and timelyMonitor and control project budgets, including forecasting and reporting on costs, identifying risks and opportunitiesManage resource allocation including subcontractors, materials, and labor to optimize efficiencyEnsure all projects comply with industry standards, company policies, and relevant regulations (CHAS, ISO9001, Safe Contractor etc.)Lead and mentor site teams, promoting a positive safety culture and high standards of workmanshipAddress and resolve any project issues or delays promptly, escalating as necessaryDeliver regular reports and updates to senior management and clientsSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and customer satisfactionRole Requirements

Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role within the commercial roofing or construction sectorStrong understanding of roofing systems, refurbishment methods, and associated materials (flat roofs, green roofs, metal roofing, guttering)Excellent contract management and negotiation skills, with experience preparing and reviewing commercial contractsSound financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, cost control, and reportingStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams both in the office and on-siteExceptional organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office suite and project management softwareFull UK driving license and willingness to travel regularly to sitesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build rapport with clients, subcontractors, and colleaguesKnowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices relevant to roofing and construction industriesRelevant industry qualifications or certifications (e.g. NEBOSH, CIOB, RICS) are desirable but not essentialPlease be aware this job description is a general overview and subject to change as per our client''s ..... full job details .....
