Contracts Manager / General Manager

The Client Our client is a well-established construction contractor based in Suffolk, delivering a range of projects across the region. With a strong reputation for quality workmanship, reliable delivery and long-standing client relationships, the business is looking to appoint an experienced General Manager to oversee its day-to-day construction operations. This is a key appointment within the company, offering the opportunity to work directly alongside the Managing Director and take responsibility for the successful management and delivery of projects across the business. The Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager, Quantity Surveyor or commercially minded construction professional looking to step into a broader general management position. Working directly beneath the Managing Director, you will take responsibility for overseeing the company''s workload, from initial client enquiries and pricing through to programming, procurement, project delivery and final account. The role will involve managing multiple projects simultaneously, with experienced Site Foremen responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities on individual sites. The successful candidate will provide the link between clients, site teams, subcontractors and the Managing Director, ensuring that projects are properly planned, commercially controlled and delivered to the required standards.
