OverviewMontgomery Group are seeking a
Content Executive
to join our team based in central London. This role supports the Head of Content in researching and planning entertaining, educational and engaging live content programmes for Food Drink and Hospitality Week, Speciality and Fine Food Fair, and other events where applicable. This opportunity is suitable for an established Content Assistant or a newly appointed Executive who is passionate, creative and eager to embed themselves in the food, drink and hospitality communities that our events serve.
Role RequirementsThe successful applicant will ideally have some type of events experience (in content, speaker relations or production) and will be eager to learn. This role requires someone who is happy to network with the industry by attending client and partner events and fostering existing speaker relationships. The Content Executive also needs to be well organised, have good project management skills and be able to work across various teams and events at once, being constantly aware of deadlines.
Responsibilities
Attend trade events and shows to network with and gain exposure to potential speakers.
Assist with recruiting for and running advisory boards ahead of each show, utilising key event ambassadors.
Independently research key industry issues and suggest topics and speakers who could appear at our shows to discuss these issues live.
Run a stage at each of our shows, greeting and liaising with speakers on site and in the lead up to an event.
Use web platforms to maintain event websites and social assets.
Provide administrative support to the Head of Content.
Assist with organising and running the virtual events calendar (includes webinars, podcast editing, news articles, etc.).
Qualifications
A minimum of 1 year’s experience of event management, live content management, speaker recruitment or journalism.
Ability to conduct independent desk research and voice your own decisions and opinions.
A keen eye for detail and good copywriting skills.
Capacity to work across various teams and juggle multiple stakeholders and events at the same time.
Great organisational skills and ability to manage and meet deadlines.
Ability to interpret and summarise meeting outcomes.
Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Working arrangementHybrid working is offered with a minimum of 3 days in the office (Mon, Tue and Thu) in central London. Core hours are 9-5pm; flexibility outside these hours may be required to suit the business needs.
