We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our healthcare teams at HMP Onley, a category C training prison, based in Rugby, Northamptonshire. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with an experienced integrated mental health team, including another Consultant Psychiatrist and a Mental Health Specialist ACP. Successful applicants will be familiar with adult mental health presentations, delivering medication reviews, hospital referrals and psychiatric support for complex historic trauma.Hours1 day per week. Can be worked Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday.SalaryThis position is part time, 8 hours per week, with an annual salary up to £180,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.How will we support you?You will be part of a team of 15 plus experienced and supportive Consultant psychiatristsYou will be able to attend monthly Consultant’s meetings and 1:1 clinical supervisionBespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training courseCompetency frameworkMain duties of the job
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will vary. You will:Provide excellent clinical care, assessment and treatment to patients on the caseload onsiteActively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead the senior mental health clinicians on service developments and provide clinical supervisionWork within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi-professional complex case reviewsIf you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, including internal and external options for development and learning.It doesn’t stop there
