Consultant Psychiatrist - CAMHS Tier 3 Kingston

Overview

A vacancy for a Consultant Psychiatrist (8 PAs) to join the CAMHS team in Kingston within the South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust. The post is 8PA substantive in the Kingston Tier 3 CAMH service and ADHD clinic, created due to a resignation. The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Directorate provides services to the boroughs of Richmond, Sutton, Kingston, Merton and Wandsworth.The local Kingston CAMHS team is highly specialist and comprises family therapy, psychology, nursing, non-medical prescribers and administration staff. Access to trust-wide services includes the DBT group program, eating disorders service, emergency services across the three acute hospitals served by the Trust, a Learning Disability Service, a Deaf Service and a Neurodevelopmental Team.This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, mature service to provide both medical and psychological treatment for individuals and families with severe mental health needs and neurodevelopmental needs. There will also be opportunities to lead on service development in line with Trust principles and governed by national standards. The post is within a multidisciplinary team providing a community service with close links to local authority, education, and the wider borough structure.Responsibilities

Provide medical and psychological treatment for individuals and families with severe mental health needs and neurodevelopmental needs within CAMHS.Join a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with family therapy, psychology, nursing, and other professionals; benefit from access to trust-wide services and emergency support.Lead on service development in line with Trust principles and national standards where opportunities arise.Work within a community service and maintain links with local authority, education, and the wider borough structure.Be part of a skilled, motivated, and innovative team committed to continual learning and development; engage with excellent CPD opportunities.Report to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Clinical Director of SW London St George’s Mental Health Trust.Qualifications and Requirements
