Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist

This community-based role involves flexible, collaborative work with two other consultants in the Maidstone Mental Health Team.Requirements include MRCPsych or equivalent, GMC registration, Approved Clinician status, and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act (or achieving this within 3 months).Main Duties
Provide clinical leadership within the Maidstone Mental Health Team.Offer medical input to patients under care of the Mental Health Team.Support individuals with complex mental disorders as part of a vibrant team.Strengthen relationships with external agencies, including the local PCN.About Our Organisation

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.GMC registration with a license to practice at the time of appointment.On the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of registration.Approved Clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.Desirable Criteria
Higher degree in medical education, research, or management.MRCPsych or additional clinical qualifications.Good standing with GMC regarding warnings and conditions.Essential Criteria
Valid UK driving license or alternative evidence.Excellent clinical skills and knowledge in the specialty.Strong communication skills in English.Ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.Decision-making based on evidence and experience.Ability to meet duties under MHA and MCA.Additional Information
