Role: Construction Teacher (School-Based Role)Location: WalthamstowContract: Full-time / Term-timeSetting: Specialist Secondary School (Autism)We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Construction Instructor to join a supportive Secondary setting (Autism) in East London. This is a hands-on role working with young people who benefit from practical, vocational learning approaches.This position is ideal for someone with strong construction skills and a passion for working with young people, particularly those with additional needs such as Autism. A formal teaching qualification is not required.The Role:Deliver engaging, practical construction sessions to small groups of studentsSupport students in developing vocational skills, confidence, and independenceCreate a safe, structured, and inclusive workshop environmentAdapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning and behavioural needsWork collaboratively with school staff to support student progress and wellbeingKey Skills and Experience - Experience in construction trades such as:Woodwork / carpentryAcrylic work / basic fabricationBricklayingTilingAbility to engage and motivate young people through practical learningCalm, patient, and consistent approachUnderstanding of health and safety in a workshop environmentExperience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable but not essentialWhat We Offer:A rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in students'' livesSupportive and collaborative staff ..... full job details .....
