Compliance Co-ordinator
Our client is a well-established manufacturing business supplying products into the agricultural sector across the UK. They are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and environmental compliance, continually investing in their people, processes and facilities to ensure efficient operations and exceptional service.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Compliance Co-ordinator to join their team at their Wixland site.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in compliance, quality or health and safety who enjoys working in a varied, hands-on role.
Working closely with the Site Manager and wider site team, you''ll play a key role in ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and in line with industry standards. You''ll help maintain compliance across quality, health & safety and environmental requirements while supporting continuous improvement throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
Drive continuous improvement by reviewing and updating company procedures and documentation.
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safe Working Procedures (SWPs), Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks.
Support internal and external audits, including leading traceability exercises and managing audit action plans.
Maintain site compliance documentation and controlled records.
Manage approved contractor, servicing and compliance registers.
Work closely with the engineering team to ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules are completed and documentation such as RAMS and permits to work are maintained.
Manage the site''s training matrix, training records, holiday records and HR administration.
Support Health & Safety initiatives including monthly inspections, safety meetings, Near Miss reporting and action tracking.
Record and monitor damaged or ageing stock.
Complete routine compliance checks including:
First Aid boxes
Spill kits
Emergency lighting
Fire extinguishers
Support the Site Manager and Operations Manager with additional projects and compliance tasks as required.
Skills:
Previous experience within a compliance, quality, health & safety or administrative role.
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Experience maintaining documentation and compliance records.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
The ability to communicate confidently with colleagues across all levels of the business.
A positive attitude with a willingness to continuously improve processes.
Experience within manufacturing, production or FMCG would be advantageous but is not essential.
