Community Development Officer - Volunteering, Skills and Employability£38,000 per annum London 37 hours per week 6-month fixed-term contractWe''re looking for an Employment, Volunteering and Training Skills Specialist to join a new Volunteering, Skills and Employability team in London.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with people and helping them overcome barriers, build confidence and move towards employment, volunteering or further training.What you''ll doSupport individuals to identify their strengths, goals and career aspirations.Provide advice and guidance around training, volunteering and employment opportunities.Help people overcome barriers to employment and progression.Build trusted relationships with customers and residents, including those facing challenging circumstances.Develop partnerships with employers, training providers, businesses and community organisations.Create opportunities that improve skills, confidence and employability.Attend workshops, events and community initiatives.Work with local partners to increase participation and engagement.What we''re looking forYou''ll have experience in community engagement, employability, volunteering, employer engagement, skills brokerage or a related area.You''ll also be:A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.Comfortable supporting people from diverse backgrounds.Able to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.Proactive and confident in ..... full job details .....
