Cumberland Lodge - A place of history and vision Cumberland Lodge is a beautiful Grade II listed house in Windsor Great Park that has been the home of an educational charity for almost 80 years. Steeped in the nation''s history, the Lodge is nestled in the middle of 5,000 acres of ancient royal parkland in the Berkshire countryside. The foundation was the vision of the academic Amy Buller, whose pioneering work in trying to understand the rise of National Socialism in Germany during the 1930s and its impact on society - especially young people - was presented in her 1943 book Darknessover Germany. Her insights came to the attention of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (The Queen Mother), who shared her conviction that Britain needed a place of dialogue, understanding, and renewal. Cumberland Lodge was the result. A living purpose From this foundation, we continue to convene leaders, students, practitioners, policymakers, and changemakers for residential retreats, conferences, and workshops. These gatherings create the rare conditions for open, respectful debate, helping participants to exchange insights, challenge assumptions, and build understanding across divides. The Communications and Engagement Manager will work closely with the CEO, Executive, Senior Management Team and Programme Team to: Lead on the Lodge''s content and engagement work.
