About the RoleWe are seeking a Commercial Operations Manager to oversee and optimise the commercial vessel operations of a tanker fleet. This strategic role is responsible for ensuring efficient voyage planning, cost optimisation, and compliance, while maintaining strong internal and external relationships. This is a full-time, office-based position working from the central London office.

Responsibilities

Manage and monitor Vessel Managers, ensuring effective voyage planning and execution.

Liaise with the Chartering Department to align vessel operations with future voyage requirements.

Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers.

Ensure Vessel Managers are updated on operational guidelines, charter party terms, and regulations.

Oversee record-keeping and vessel management software compliance.

Qualifications / About You

Solid office-based or sea-based management of vessels

Strong knowledge of tanker operations, charter party terms, and world scale terms.

Commercially astute with the ability to balance costs and operational needs.

Proficient in MS Office; experience with shipping systems (such as DANAOS) an advantage.

Strategic mindset, able to guide teams and make effective cost/time decisions.
