About the Role 

This role provides commercial and contractual support across project delivery, ensuringNEC contracts are administered effectively and aligned to organisational objectives.    You’ll work with project teams and supply chain partners throughout the lifecycle of      contracts, supporting governance processes, advising on commercial risk, contracting  strategy, contract compliance and negotiation of key terms.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide commercial and contractual support across the NEC4 suite of  contracts
• Support negotiation and implementation of contract terms, including risk  allocation and liabilities
• Monitor contractor performance against contractual obligations and KPIs
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
• Maintain contract records and ensure governance compliance across the asset delivery portfolio
• Support resolution, escalation and dispute management of contractual  issues

Experience & Skills Required

Essential

• Experience in commercial contract management within a construction  environment
• Strong experience with the NEC suite of contracts
• Experience in contract negotiation and administration
• Experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment
• Understanding of contractual and project governance relating to  commercial matters
• Understanding of legal and contractual principles, including liabilities,  indemnities and warranties
• Strong commercial and contractual acumen
• Ability to interpret and negotiate contract terms
• Effective stakeholder communication and influencing skills

Desirable

• Experience operating alongside or at a paralegal level in contract review
• Experience in utilities or water sector environments
• Experience using contract management systems and reporting tools
