Commercial Electrical Installation Tutor

Our client, an established provider of engineering education and technical training, is seeking a Commercial Electrical Installation Tutor to deliver high-quality electrical training to learners and industry employees. This is a permanent position covering sites in Hull, Grimsby and Scunthorpe, as well as external company locations.

• Delivering engaging electrical training and instruction in classroom, workshop and workplace environments
• Supporting learners in developing practical skills, technical knowledge and workplace competence
• Planning and preparing training sessions in line with relevant electrical standards and course requirements
• Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback to support achievement
• Maintaining accurate training, assessment and learner development records
• Working with employers and internal teams to ensure training meets industry needs
• Travelling between training centres and company sites as required

• Relevant electrical industry experience and a strong understanding of electrical principles and practices
• Experience in delivering training, coaching or technical instruction
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage learners at different levels
• Ability to demonstrate practical electrical skills in a workshop or workplace setting
• An assessor qualification is desirable, although relevant industry experience will also be considered
• An IQA Level 4 qualification would be advantageous
• Strong organisational skills and accurate record-keeping abilities
• Full driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle, as public transport is not practical for travel between sites

• 42 days'' annual leave, including bank holidays, with a planned Christmas shutdown period
• Monday to Thursday working hours of 8:00am to 4:15pm and Friday hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm
