Electrical Commercial Instructor
Humber Region (Based at centres in Hull, Grimsby, or Scunthorpe)
Salary:
- -39,328 per annum - No Assessor qualification but relevant industry experience
- -39,775 per annum - Level 3 Assessor qualification and relevant industry experience
- -40,990 per annum - IQA Qualification Level 4 and relevant industry experience
- Plus an Annual Performance Bonus

The Opportunity: What You Will Be Doing
As an Electrical Commercial Instructor, you will step away from day-to-day site work to share your extensive industry experience with the next generation of engineers. Working alongside a supportive, established instructor team, you will deliver engaging, high-quality commercial training courses directly to employees from client businesses.
Your core delivery portfolio will focus on essential commercial programs including:
- Compliance & Regulations: 18th Edition and Safe Isolation procedures.
- Testing & Inspection: Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (2391) and PAT Testing.
- Practical Application: Basic Electrical Maintenance workflows and fundamental Health & Safety courses.
What We Need From You (Key Criteria)
- Industry Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of industrial or commercial electrical experience with high-level craft and technical skills.
- Qualifications: A relevant electrical qualification at Level 3 or above is essential (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds).
- Communication & IT: Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with basic computer literacy to help develop new course contents and learning materials.
- Logistics: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential due to multi-site travel requirements.
- Teaching Background: Teaching or assessing qualifications are desirable but not essential. Full training, corporate support, and qualification sponsorship will be provided to help you develop these skills.
