Commercial Director

A rapidly expanding manufacturing company on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk are currently recruiting for a Commercial Director to join it''s leadership team. This is a permanent role, paying between 75,000 - 85,000, depending on experience. Overview of the role: Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take overall responsibility for the commercial and sales function, leading a sales teams.The role will focus on developing and delivering the company''s commercial strategy, driving sales growth and profitability and securing significant new business and high-value contracts. You will also work closely with the wider leadership team to support the company''s continued growth and development.What does the role involve?As a Commercial Director, you will be responsible of sales strategies and executing them to a high standardDriving performance throughout the company and specifically within the sales teamTake responsibility for the profit and loss of the sales departmentOversee sales budgets, forecasting and commercial performanceWork closely with production, estimating and other internal departments to ensure customer orders are delivered effectively and in line with production capacityLeading, mentoring and managing the sales team to perform to the best of their abilityWork closely with the leadership team in the business to help with strategic business decisionsLook at continuous improvement methods across the commercial function Running regular ..... full job details .....
