We are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a busy and supportive Property team, providing secretarial and administrative support across both Commercial and Residential Property matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal secretary to join a well-established law firm offering a professional working environment, long-term career prospects, and a varied workload.
Working closely with fee earners, you will play a key role in ensuring property transactions progress efficiently while delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Property team.
- Preparing, formatting and processing legal documentation and correspondence.
- Opening, maintaining and closing client files.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents and third parties.
- Managing telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Assisting fee earners with residential and commercial property transactions, including sales, purchases and remortgages.
- Requesting and monitoring searches, property information and supporting documentation.
- Assisting with exchange and completion matters.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating case management systems.
- Monitoring key dates, deadlines and outstanding matters.
- Supporting post-completion administration where required.
- Providing timely updates to clients and ensuring a high standard of service.
- Assisting with general administrative duties across the department.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within a Property department.
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial property transactions.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Professional and personable approach to client service.
- Good IT and case management system skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
