Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a small team within the turning department
- Delegate tasks and ensure deadlines and quality standards are achieved
- Set and operate a range of CNC lathes (Haas / Fanuc and DMG MORI CELOS systems)
- Machine precision components from raw materials to engineering specifications
- Operate chucking and barfed machines with live tooling and Y-axis capability
- Use appropriate measuring equipment in line with inspection schedules
- Adhere to company Quality Management and Health & Safety procedures
Skills & Experience:
- Completed Mechanical Engineering qualification
- Skilled CNC Turner with experience in a precision engineering environment
- Previous supervisory or team-leading experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Confident in the use of measurement equipment
- Experience with live tooling (advantageous)
- Programming ability (advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Working Hours:
- 8.00am to 5.00pm – Monday to Thursday
- 8.00am to 2.00pm – Friday’s
