Main Responsibilities:
- Set and operate a range of CNC lathes to manufacture precision components
- Machine components from raw materials to engineering drawing specifications
- Work with Haas / Fanuc based controls and DMG MORI’s CELOS (Siemens based) systems
- Operate chucking and barfed machines with live tooling and Y-axis capability
- Use measuring equipment in line with component inspection schedules
- Ensure all work meets company Quality Management and Health & Safety standards
Skills & Experience:
- Completed Mechanical Engineering qualification
- Experience in a precision engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Skilled in using measurement equipment to verify quality
- Experience with live tooling (advantageous)
- Programming experience (advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
Working Hours:
Week 1
- 6.00am to 2.30pm (30 mins unpaid lunch), Monday to Friday
Week 2
- 2.00pm to 11.30pm (30 mins unpaid lunch), Monday to Thursday
- 2.00pm to 6.00pm, Friday
