A precision engineering company based in Leeds is currently seeking an experienced CNC Tuner with strong working knowledge of XYZ and DMG CNC lathes.

About the Role
This is a hands-on position involving the setup, operation, and fine-tuning of CNC lathes to produce high-precision components. The ideal candidate will be confident working from engineering drawings and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate XYZ and DMG CNC lathes

• Read and interpret engineering drawings

• Make program edits and adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality

• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments

• Work to tight tolerances in a fast-paced environment

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience with XYZ and DMG CNC machines

• Strong understanding of CNC programming, tooling, and offsets

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving

• Experience in one-off or small batch production is advantageous
