CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator

Pertemps are looking for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator to join our client based in the heart of Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established precision engineering company, producing high-quality components for a range of industries.

-16.00 - -18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:45
  
  
• Friday: 07:00 - 15:00
  
  

• Set and operate CNC sliding head machines.
  
  
• Produce precision components to specification and quality standards.
  
  
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  
  
• Carry out in-process inspections using measuring equipment.
  
  
• Make offsets and minor program adjustments where required.
  
  
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  
  
• Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently met.
  
  

• Previous experience setting and operating CNC sliding head machines.
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  
  
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
  
• A positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
  
  

• Competitive hourly rate of -16.00 - -18.00, depending on experience.
  
  
• Full-time, permanent position.
