Responsibilities

Set, operate and (depending on experience) program CNC lathes and mills.

Produce one-off and low-batch precision components to tight tolerances.

Work on Haas, DMG Mori lathes, Citizen and Star SB sliding heads.

Use Fanuc controls (and conversational options where required).

Select tooling, set work offsets, and ensure parts meet quality standards.

Collaborate with the team to maintain workflow in a friendly, well-run environment.

Assist with training and cross-skilling across different machines.

What’s On Offer

£38,000 - £42,000 p.a. starting salary (DOE).

Salary increases as you gain more programming experience on CNC centres.

Overtime available (paid at 1.33x).

Training provided on any machines you haven\''t used before.

Choice to specialise on DMG, Citizen or Star, depending on your strengths and preference.

Requirements

Experience as a CNC Setter Operator (turning essential, milling advantageous).

Programming skills (Fanuc or conversational) preferred - or a genuine desire to learn.

Sliding head experience (Citizen / Star) highly desirable.

Ability to work from technical drawings to produce high-precision parts.

A proactive, positive approach with good communication skills.
