CNC Miller
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Machinist (Miller) to join a specialist precision machining team supporting the manufacture of complex, high-value engineering components.Working within a modern CNC machine shop environment, you will be responsible for programming, setting, proving out and operating multi-axis CNC machining centres, producing prototype, RandD and low-volume production components to exacting quality standards.This role would suit a skilled machinist who enjoys working on technically challenging projects, developing machining processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within a high-precision engineering environment. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance (SC) Key ResponsibilitiesProgram, set and operate multi-axis CNC machining centres (3, 4 and 5-axis).Edit CNC programs and make tooling, offset and fixture adjustments as required.Select and optimise cutting tools to maximise efficiency and machining performance.Manufacture high-value prototype, RandD and low-volume production components.Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and manufacturing procedures.Inspect components using measuring equipment, hand gauges and CMM inspection data.Support the development of machining processes, tooling and fixture designs.Work closely with engineering teams to improve machining methods and manufacturing efficiency.Troubleshoot machining and ..... full job details .....
